My Father's Love

When I was small you helped me learn to walk, picking me up when I fell down and said everything will be alright.

When I was old enough to go to school and was afraid, you told me that I would learna lot of fun things.

When I was ready to quit school and give up, you told me that I needed an education to make it in this world.

When I was grduating from high school, you told me that I was the first one in our family to make it to graduation.

When I was getting my first job, you told me that I was on my way to paying the bills and the rent.

When I was having second thoughts on moving to Idaho, you told me that I needed to take the chance for a new begining.

When I moved out, you told me that I could always come home if it didn't work out for me.

When I was filled with excitement about falling in love with Aaron, you told me that I need to bring him home to meet the family.

When I was coming home for a visit so Aaron could meet the family, you told me that I should have a safe trip.

When I was upset about you dying of cancer, you told me that I should not worry about you.

When I was coming home again to see you one last time, you told me that I was very lucky to have Aaron and you loved me very much.

When I got the news that you were gone, I told myself 'He was the greatest father in the world to have loved and raised a smart daughter like me.'

You were the wind beneath my wings and the teacher of so many wonderful things to all your children and grandchildren.

I LOVE YOU DADDY AND YOU WILL BE WITH ME ALWAYS!!!!!
