I wrote this poem after watching Resolutions for first time. Please tell me what you think of it. Any comments or ideas on changes would be of most help to me

Masks of Desire

Why must I hide my love for you behind this masquerade of
Protocol and Regulations,

My heart calls your name but dies away because of
Pain from pushing you away,

I want to feel your gentle loving touch again upon
My body

But these masks that I wear over my heart conceals the desire
That is burning in my soul for you.

Hearts on fire with passion can quickly turn cold as night becomes day

Hearts filled with love can quickly turn cruel as
Months becomes years

Hearts that instruct with honor can quickly turn ruthless as strength becomes weakness

Hearts of ice are all that is left of you and I.

Voy_Girl, What inspires me to write poems is the love and the hardships of life in the world. I wrote these poems as if they were from Janeway point of view. I'm glad you like my poems and will post a new one really soon.

Magic of love

Love has a very special magic

Two hearts that have never touched
Are brought together

Two souls that yearn to be together
Are joined together

Two lovers that burn with passion
Are untied together

Love has the power of Magic
Flowing threw it.

Moonlight on Roses

As the delicate rose buds bloom when kissed by a moon beam

As the gentle light caress the beautiful buds during a soft summer night

Only the moonlight and the gentle night can make these roses bloom to life

Just like your gentle touch makes my heart bloom with the love for you.
