Hello all,
My username is obviously Omok.
I am a former member of the military, hence the Sergeant Avatar.
I currently live in PA USA.
I grew up in AL USA.
I have been fascinated with alomst all things Trek since the age of 9 seeing my first ever TOS on Nickelodeon.
I have a wonderful wife who has graced me with her presence for over 11 years and an 8 yo son who makes me prouder by the day.
I have studied linguistics in my personal time and I am fascinated by all things linguistic.
I hope to enjoy many posts and fruitful discussions here and maybe even have some fun too.

Hi, welcome to STV, 
What kind of music do you like? My BIL (brother-in-law) is from Johnstown PA. But he's a Steelers fan, so I try not to talk to him,

I like a wide range of music, from classical to prog-rock and a lot inbetween.
I don't however find country music all that enjoyable.

A wide range actually, to include;
Arabic
Mandarin
Spanish
German (cursory conversational, from living in Germany for 6 years)
Japanese
And a few conlangs (constructed languages) as well.

Cool! I'd love to learn Arabic, but I don't think I'll ever get the chance. I've never been really good with languages (despite having tried three of them...).

Actually, I was a Corporal, but I held a promotable status when I was medically discharged.

Indeed, Omok, STV has been known to be friendly. This is one of the reasons its my favorit (Or well..one of my favorits) forum. Sadly, I do not know any other languages  .

I am just looking to contact everyone in our crew so I hope my shout out is welcome.
Love languages but the syntax and other variables is more linguistic and I have trouble with English most times
Anyway I hope to see more posts from you in the future.
