Well, there are so many theories about that.

But appearently Picard destroying/killing the borg queen in First contact wasn't enough for her to completely dissappear. There are theories there are more then 1 queen, there are theories that her design and concious floats around in the borg hivemind(much like Skynet from the Terminator) and they simply reconstruct her when she is destroyed, there are theories that there are back-up waiting to be activated when the current active one dies. you pick one.

she claims was there at the battle of wolf 359 as well, probably destroyed then too.

ive done some research into the borg queen, and in fact like the last post her conscious is somewhat like that of skynet and is still with the collective, and the way her physical body comes back is that the borg literally birth a new queen like a beehive would allow a new queen to be born. so although she has died twice thus far in ST there is always a possiblity for her return due to the fact that if the borg survived, then her conscious survived, and therefor, the borg can build/birth a new queen

Define "Dead".
Some would argue that she had been dead a long time ago, and that the being that Jean Luc & Janeway encountered was little more than the soul-less remains.
Some would argue that she had never been alive.
And some would argue that she could never die, provided there was at least one drone left in existence. It is a question of quite a philosophical nature, and I believe, the answer is not for us to know, just quite yet.

The one Data destroyed is an android. The one on Voyager had a nice top.

PostSat Feb 28, 2009 3:24 pm    all hail the reigning queen!

The borg queen revealed herself to be from Species 125 in an episode of Voyager so there are definitely more like her around. Here’s a reasonable supposition based on the typical bee hive: the queen role was created when Species 125 was assimilated centuries or millennia ago because it demonstrated superior leadership abilities. One queen reigns at a time even though there may be more lesser queens around, just like in a beehive. if the reigning queen dies then a spare is brought out of the “toolbox” and connected to the collective consciousness to download all the previous queen’s knowledge and intentions. The new queen then takes her place at the head of the hive.

What can I say? As of late, I have a rather unique view on things. Especially in contrast to some of my previous points of view.

Pretty much. I can't remember what book it was in, but she explained it as the queen is nothing more than a program that controls everything, when a body dies, the program takes over another body. Another book explained it pretty much the same way other than just building another body that looks the same.

But we all know books are not canon.

I doubt a broken spinal column would stop the Borg Queen.....She's still out there somewhere!! There is no getting rid of some hard core villains!

From what I have read she is like a Bee (though in the case of the Borg more like a Wasp) one Queen dies another is activated.

However go with First Contact and the 3 Dimensions bit hints at time travel in my book.

In all honesty I do not see anyone in the near future confirming this unless JJA decides to one day do a ST:OS move with the Borg, now that he can as this universe history is to be written.
