Hey personally I enjoyed late night viewing of DS9, mostly cause I couldn't catch it during the day, next to TNG I saw that almost all the way through. I thought that keeping Worf and Chief Obian in it was a cool idea and totally rocked. I mean it was the enterprise (and a few others) that helped liberate the station from the Cardassians.

Do you know how close you people came to flame war that I almost had to close this topic down? (First time it happened on this forum).

Anyway now that that's in the past, I just wanted to say that I loved DS9. It was my favorite Startrek series. Not that I hated the others or anything. But DS9 had good intelligent stories with complex story arcs. And it did have alot of action by the way. From seasons 5-7 we got to see the entire Federation, Klingon and later Romulan fleets take on the Jem'Hadar. Which was a site to behold.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. And please next time don't fight. This is a place of friendly discussion.

I like The Defiant, that was cool, and Worf was okay in it, because I know him from The Next Generation.

As a reformed DS9-hater, I can say that those who dislike it have not given the series a fair chance.

    - DS9 *was* boring the first 2 seasons. Most Treks are lousy the first couple of seasons anyway

    - Just because DS9 was a space station doesn't mean that the show never saw any action. On the contrary...

    - The war with the Cardassians and the Dominion explored a part of the Trek that only gets brief mention in other series episodes. That is, we saw on a week-to-week basis how the Federation prevailed and triumphed in a long, bloody, drawn-out war where the very existence of the Federation was at risk.

Long live DS9!!!

If anyone out there hates Voyager, tell me so I can post a rant on why it was awesome, too.

I have never like DS9 til this year. I always thought it was so boring but now I can't stop watching it. It's like I have to watch it or beware of the female dog , if I miss an episode. When Voyager was on, I was the same way and still am when I don't get to watch a DVD.
