I don't know; hadn't heard it before I read this topic...I really hope it's not true...I thought it had great ratings at the start... I'm going to go sit in the corner and cry now...

				eclipse8472,

I only ready the first sentence of the topic, and avoided reading the details of the episode, but I can't see that introducing the borg is a good idea. It's been already used way toooooo much. Tng, Tng movies, Voyager ... come on, give us something new, not the same old song and dance.

well i don t think it will contaminate the timline neways because the E-E made contact AND REVEALED who they were 2 cochrane and people at that colony, besides, this episode wont belike all the others because of the primitive weapons, n about the coil that they found, Was it a transwarp coil cuz thats wat most borg ships have? Personally i could never get tired of the borg

this show simply blows. It is the first trek series I have HATED. the characters are absolutely insipid, and at best and more often than not, uninteresting.

It only makes sense that the writers would use the borg as a gimmick to try to put some life into this turkey.

After all, it worked for TNG and first contact was really the only good TNG movie.

What a joke.

Why don't they just end this horrible series and try again with ANYTHING else.

Of course you're not going to relate to the characters of TOS. They were geared toward a different generation. Come on, that's the generation that thought Star Wars was the end all of all movies.
